Best series to binge read

As much as I love standalone novels, there’s something special about a series. Getting to stay with characters for multiple books, watching them grow, and living in their world a little longer always hits differently.

These are the four series I will always go back to.

⚡Harry Potter series

This series will always feel like home.

There’s something about returning to Hogwarts that feels comforting no matter what stage of life I’m in. It’s not just the magic or the adventure — it’s the friendships and the feeling of growing up alongside the characters.

As the books get darker, the emotions get deeper. The stakes rise, the friendships are tested, and the world feels more real. This series showed me what immersive storytelling looks like. When a world is built so well that readers feel like they belong in it, that’s when a story becomes unforgettable. I also encourage everyone I know to take THE Pottermore house sorting quiz.

❤️‍🔥 Shatter me series

This series completely changed how I think about writing style. It is also my number one best thing I have ever read.

The first time I read it, I remember being struck by how different it felt. The fragmented thoughts, the crossed-out lines, the poetic inner monologue — it made the emotions feel raw and immediate.

Juliette’s voice feels vulnerable and intense in a way that pulls you directly into her head. It made me realize that storytelling doesn’t have to look traditional to be powerful. Sometimes breaking structure makes the emotion stronger.

It also reminded me how important voice is. A strong narrative voice can carry an entire series.

👑 Red Queen series

This series pulled me into high-stakes fantasy in the best way.

What stood out to me most was the tension — not just romantic tension, but political tension. Power shifts constantly, loyalties change, and no one feels completely safe.

I loved the unpredictability. Every decision felt heavy, and every betrayal actually mattered. That sense of uncertainty kept me turning pages.

🌹 A court of thorns and roses series

This was the first fantasy book I ever read.

What I appreciate most is the character growth. The characters don’t stay the same from book to book — they evolve, struggle, and face parts of themselves they’d rather avoid. That progression makes their journeys feel real.

The emotional arcs are intense, sometimes messy, but always meaningful. Relationships are complicated, layered, and earned over time.

This series showed me how romance and fantasy can balance each other. The world-building is expansive, but the emotional core is what truly makes it unforgettable.

I have also not seen better fan art for a book ever; the fans of this series really go all out.

💗 I think I love series because they allow space.

-Space for growth. -Space for mistakes. -Space for redemption.

You don’t just watch characters fall in love or win battles, you watch them change.

And as a reader (and a writer), that kind of long-term storytelling will always mean something to me.
